Unclear Iraq Policy
Condoleeza Rice says that the world isn't listening to America, which is failing to lead on the world stage under Barack Obama.
Barack Obama had gone to great lengths to brag about ending the war in Iraq.
Less than three years ago Obama made the following declaration
: “Indeed, everything that American troops have done in Iraq--all
the fighting and all the dying, the bleeding and the building, and the
training and the partnering--all of it has led to this moment of
success. Now, Iraq is not a perfect place. It has many challenges ahead.
But we’re leaving behind a sovereign, stable and self-reliant Iraq,
with a representative government that was elected by its people. We’re
building a new partnership between our nations. And we are ending a war
not with a final battle, but with a final march toward home. This is an
extraordinary achievement, nearly nine years in the making.”
But realities changed with the rise of ISIS, yet the president continued to promise that there would be no boots on the ground.
Then just days after the
election, the Obama administration announced that it was doubling the
number of troops in Iraq by 1,500. These troops are supposedly not
being used in a combat role, but it points to the fact that we need more

ObamaCare Deception
When it comes to ObamaCare, one thing is clear: We were lied to.
We were told that if we liked our doctors, we could keep our doctors.
We were told that if we liked our healthcare plans, we could keep our healthcare plans. Period.
We were told that it would reduce the deficit.
We were told that it would reduce healthcare costs for the average family by $2,500 a year.
They lied, they obfuscated the facts and they sold the American people a bill that was absolutely nothing like they promised.
It turns out that the architect of the legislation admits it was
purposefully crafted to deceive and that this lack of transparency
played to their advantage.
Jonathan Gruber is an MIT professor who helped write ObamaCare. He was caught on video
making the following statement: “Lack of transparency is a huge
political advantage. And basically, call it the stupidity of the
American voter or whatever, but basically that was really, really
critical for the thing to pass.”
So ObamaCare was passed, banking on the stupidity of the American
voters. It was purposefully written in a way to make it seem like
something that it really wasn't.
That is Obama's legacy.
Unbelievable. |
