Cruz Supporters Just Made a HUGE offer to Trump
Shortly
after Donald Trump announced that he would not be participating in
Thursday's Fox News primary Debate, Texas Senator Ted Cruz challenged
the billionaire to face-off in a one-on-one debate. Now, Cruz and his
supporters have decided to sweeten the deal.
Keep The Promise, a pro-Cruz Super PAC, took to Twitter to make a major offer to Donald Trump:
@realDonaldTrump: debate #TedCruz one-on-one in Iowa before the caucuses and we will donate $1.5M to vet charities
The group also laid out a set of ground-rules in order for Mr. Trump to collect on their offer:
- the debate must take place on or before Sunday, January 31st in Iowa;
- the debate is solely between Mr. Trump and Senator Cruz;
- the candidates can pick the moderator themselves; and
- the debate is one hour long.
Cruz has also suggested several alternative moderators for the debate, considering Trump's apprehension about Megyn Kelly.

"If your colleague is so scary for him," Cruz said to Sean on Hannity,
"then I've suggested you could moderate, Mark (Levin) could moderate,
Rush (Limbaugh) could moderate."
"I'll be glad to do this," Sean responded to Cruz's offer. |

Eric And Donald Trump Jr. Explain Their Father's Decision To Skip Fox Debate
Some
continue to question Donald Trump's decision to skip Thursday's Fox
News GOP primary debate. However, the billionaire's sons are in total
support their father's decision. Both sons, Eric and Don Jr., joined
Sean to explain why they believe he made the right call.
Don Jr. explained that although most of the Fox staff has been fair to
his father, Fox News' press release just prior to his father making his
decision might have been the straw that broke the camel's back.

"I think what I saw yesterday, in sort of the release that I'm sure came
from the top over at Fox, I thought it was totally inappropriate,
totally below the belt," Don said. "You're not going to get anywhere
with my father trying to insult him and trying to put him in that spot
and so I agree with his decision."
"Given the controversy over the past, given what happened in the first
debate, I don't think it's unreasonable to say Megan Kelly shouldn't be a
moderator for this event," Trump Jr. added.
Eric believes that the debate was little more than an opportunity for the establishment to attack his father.
"It looks like Fox and, quote frankly, the GOP establishment, are
salivating at one more opportunity to take a hit at him," Eric said.
"When was the last time you saw a credible news organization send out a
hit piece on any candidate, let alone the front runner?" |
