Trump vs. The Pope
It
seems like everyone has an opinion on GOP frontrunner Donald Trump
these days. Today, Pope Francis decided to weigh in on the real estate
mogul's candidacy and his verdict is not so favorable.
Specifically, the pontiff takes issue with Donald's plan to build a
border wall with Mexico. When asked about Trump, the Pope was quoted by The New York Times:
A person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and
not of building bridges, is not Christian. This is not the Gospel. As
far as what you said about whether I would advise to vote or not to
vote, I am not getting involved in that. I say only this man is not
Christian if he has said things like that.

Here's The Reason Walls Were Built Around The Vatican
Controversy
continues to swirl around the apparent conflict between Pope Francis
and Donald Trump, after the Pontiff implied that the billionaire's focus
on building a wall on the Mexican border puts him at odds with the
tenets of Christianity.
In Trump's defense, some have pointed to the fact that the Vatican City,
the seat of papal authority, is itself surrounded by walls. However,
this defense is being criticized by some on the left, who claim that the
walls surrounding the Vatican are not analogous to those proposed to
secure American borders.
In an article entitled "In Defense of Trump, Some Point (Wrongly) to
Vatican Walls", write Liam Stack writes that Pope Leo IV built the walls
around the Vatican "in an attempt to protect it from attacks by pirates
