What We Know About Omar Mateen, The Orlando Night Club Shooter
Shortly
after 2am on Sunday morning a gunman entered Pulse nightclub, a popular
hangout for Orlando's gay community, and opened fire on patrons. The
perpetrator, who police have identified as Omar Mir Saddiqui Mateen,
took a number of hostages inside the night club but was killed in a gun
battle with police several hours after the shooting began. According to
authorities, Omar Mateen killed 50 and injured 53. If the death toll is
accurate, Sunday's shooting is the worst mass-shooting in history, and
the worst terrorist attack on American soil
since 9/11.
Blood donations are needed to treat the injured. Officials are calling
for O negative, O positive and AB donors to donate as soon as possible.

indication, young Muslims are being taught that homosexuals deserve
death.
WATCH THE VIDEO HERE
"Death is the sentence. We know there's nothing to be embarrassed about
this, death is the sentence," Sheikh Sekaleshfar said. "We have to have
that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it's the same, out of
compassion, let's get rid of them now."
At the time, WFTV Orlando reported that Dr. Farrokh Sekaleshfar admitted
the Islamic death sentence applies in limited circumstances and is not
applicable under U.S. law. But he also says the only way gays and
lesbians can be forgiven is to die...(continue reading) |
