McDuffie’s family had reported Ashley missing last week after she did not pick up her two children, aged 3 and 6, days after dropping them off for a two-day visit at their grandmother’s house in Stamford, Conn. The body of a missing Mount Vernon mother of two was found in the Bronx Friday.

A Pennsylvania man who had sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl as part of a vampire role-playing game that included drinking her blood must spend 10 years on probation, the first two confined to his home. Westmoreland County Richard McCormick Jr. imposed the probation sentence for Jonathan Ryan Davis on Thursday despite calls by prosecutors that he be imprisoned. Davis, of Vandergrift, pleaded guilty in November to statutory sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors for a December 2014 incident with the girl in a church stairwell after both had been drinking. A Pennsylvania man who had sex with a 14-year-old girl and drank her blood received a sentence of 10 years' probation.

Toddlers left inside Bronx car in the heat rescued by cop

PSA 8/ 49 Precinct Rescue: On August 26, 2016 at approximately 1550 hours, Police Officer Robert Manley, who is assigned to Police Service Area 8, was dropping children form their Explorers program when a male approached and frantically banged on his police van. The male alerted the officer to a Toyota Camry that was parked in front of 2147 Barnes Avenue with two toddlers in the rear seat with the engine off and the windows rolled up. Officer Manley then radioed for assistance to gain entry into the vehicle before retrieving an emergency “Lifehammer” and used it to break the front driver’s side window. Upon unlocking the car doors, Officer Manley removed a 3 year-old boy and 1 year-old girl from the vehicle with no apparent signs of distress. The father of the children arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and was taken into custody without incident. Both children were removed to Jacobi Hospital where they are being evaluated as a precaution. The father was arrested for leaving them in the car.
