ObamaCare Costs More, Covers Less
Surprise! ObamaCare is turning out to be the expensive disaster that conservatives predicted. Unless Republicans are committed in their efforts to repeal ObamaCare, it is you, the hard-working taxpayers, who will ultimately bear the burden of these costs, along with declining quality of care. Such is always the result of a socialist utopia. There is a reason why Nancy Pelosi famously said that we needed to pass the bill in order to find out what's in it. That's what she told to swaths of uninformed voters, who were blinded by the idea of cheaper, universal healthcare for all. But for those of us who studied the bill and are stewards of history, we knew how this was going to play out. It was exactly like this. Sixteen Republicans ended up voting for the motion to proceed, with two Democrats voting against. The debate is likely to go on for a while, maybe weeks. But in the end, this is nothing but feel-good legislation. I call it that because it will not solve the problem of preventing horrific tragedies like we saw in Newtown, Aurora, Tuscon and elsewhere. It bothers me that this debate is labeled as "gun violence prevention" when the legislation and amendments they will be discussing won't do anything of the sort...[ more]

Toomey joins Obama to circumvent federalism in firearms ownership - johnwk
What Pat Toomey fails to mention about his bill is that it would usurp a regulatory power not granted to Congress and violate the expressed intentions for which the first ten amendments, including the 2nd Amendment, were sent to the States to be ratified.
